the JSP Wedding experience

You've looked through my site, you've seen my style, and feel that I might be the right photographer for you, so what's the next step?  We meet, if we can!  If we can't meet in person, we can use a video call or even just a phone call! Let's talk about what your vision is, and discuss how we can work together.  You've probably never done this before, and I am here to help!  I'm an open book, so ask anything you want to know!

As soon as you know you want to work with me, get on my calendar by officially booking me!  Wedding dates go so quickly, and most book at least a year in advance!  You are officially booked when you sign the agreement I'll send, and pay the 25% retainer to hold your date.  It's very  intuitive - you can do it right from  your phone!

A few weeks after you've officially booked, we will set a date and location for your engagement session!  This is always really exciting and so important, because working with me needs to be easy and comfortable on your wedding day.  We'll explore posing, get to know each other, and find your unique style as a couple during this session.   A trial from your preferred hair and makeup artist is perfect for your engagement session!

You'll get a questionnaire a few months before the wedding to document all the details.  I'll take the ceremony time and sunset time and build a photography timeline, work with your coordinator, and make sure you have time for golden light portraits.   You'll have lots of direction on getting the look you've hired me to capture, including decor and background advice.  We'll have as many calls as you need to feel comfortable!

Finally!  After months of planning and organizing, your wedding day will arrive, and I'll be there through it all with you.  I'll document your details and getting ready, the bridal party, your first look, couple's portraits and on to the ceremony.  Afterwards, group photos and just married portraits - and then we celebrate!  I'll be there to help things go smoothly and be a calm presence during a busy day.  I can't wait to see you tie the knot!

After your wedding, I hope you'll have a chance to spent time on a honeymoon!  During that week, I'll be busy culling the thousands of images we took, and begin to edit your gallery.  In four to six weeks, you'll have an email in your inbox that your gallery is ready!  I deliver galleries digitally, so you can look them over in your own time and choose your favorites to include in your album.  Gallery delivery day is almost as good as your wedding day!

Each collection is built with an album included, because I feel so strongly that your images should never be kept solely on a screen!  Printing your photos is easy and quick with my gallery store, and the lab I use is a professional quality lab, using archival ink and paper, so the colors stay true!  I will design your album and you have the chance to make revisions before we send it print, so you always know exactly how your final album will look!

When your album and artwork arrive, I'll go over all the details with you, and make sure you are completely in love with what you received.  Even though you can bundle artwork into your collection, you always have the option to order a la carte, so please ask if you'd like something new.   Find a place to showcase your final images and if you hang images, I always love to see them in your home!
