Family Session

My biggest desire in photography is to make memories that capture the emotion, the connection, the confidence and the craziness of life at this specific time for you! This time will never come around again, and as hard as we try to slow things down, they keep moving. I want to freeze a few moments for you and record everything that you are, right in this moment! I do all kinds of portraits, with a focus on Families and Seniors. All of my sessions are relaxed so we can have fun. Don't worry about feeling self conscious for yourself or for any little ones. We'll be flexible and leave plenty of time to get comfortable, so the photos are genuine and unforced. I love candid moments, full of laughter, but posed photos are always a part of the session, and I'll guide you through all of it. Send me a note and let's get a date set!

As soon as you know you’d like to consider having me for your photo session, please inquire about date availability. I often book 4-6 weeks in advance, but sometimes may have openings sooner, depending on the time of year. Busy times include spring and late fall. Let me know you’re interested as soon as possible!

Once we know our calendars can work together, we can get down to some initial consultation on locations and specific times that will work best. If you have a special situation or any requests, this is a great time to let me know, so I can make choices that will serve you best.

Once we’ve nailed down and time and location, we can move on to officially getting you booked! Booking happens when you’ve signed an agreement and paid a retainer that will keep your date reserved just for you.

When you’ve booked our time together, I’ll direct you to my Portrait Guide for your specific session. There are wardrobe ideas and things to consider that may be helpful, including what to expect with little ones. And don’t worry, I’ll be watching the weather in plenty of time to change plans if we need to do that.

The day of your session, the balance of the payment will be due, and I’ll be waiting for you at our location. Arriving a few minutes early is always a great idea, so hair, clothes, and other details can be sorted out without rushing. Keeping things relaxed and fun is how I love to work!

About two weeks after your session (sometimes earlier or later, depending on my calendar), you’ll get an email with a link to your online gallery! I even send a mobile app you can install to see your photos whenever you like and download social media sized images to your device! A full gallery zip file will be sent, and you’ll have a few weeks to redownload any full size files if needed.

gallery delivery

Ordering prints and canvases is easy – you will have a print release, but with the store in my gallery, you just click, review sizing, and order from any phone, tablet, or computer. It will come straight to you and I’ll be available in case you have questions or concerns.

The last point in the process is up to you. After you’ve done the work of planning, taking the photos and ordering, I hope you truly do cherish these images for years. Time never slows down, and these moments need to be recorded. I hope you’ll call me again, whenever you need or want to capture memories!
