When I first spoke to Mick and Maureen, I knew this wedding was going to be an amazing ride! Mick is an amazingly talented drummer in a local band called The Fuze, and Maureen also sings as a guest! It’s no secret around here that she has a top notch voice! They came to me from a referral from a mutual friend who is the frontman and lead singer, Jay, who is also a fantastic musician in his own right. As someone who comes from a musical background, I cannot explain how excited I was to get to work with Mick and Maureen!

One of the things I love to do if my couples are not too far away, is to sit down with them for their questionnaire process. The things I need to know take a few pages to compile, and even though we have many months between getting the questionnaire and needing to have it complete, it is still a lot of information to put together, so if a bride would like, I try to make myself available to meet and get this done together! It’s always more fun to talk through things, I and like to connect with people and hear their stories in person! Maureen and I sat down one day for about an hour and a half (we are both talkers!), and ran through all of what she knew she was going to do, what vendors she would be using, what else needed to be decided, and I got to hear more personal stories that are so nice for a photographer to know! I highly recommend getting an in person meeting, even if it is just for a quick coffee, so that you have a relationship with your photographer. I love getting to know you!!

The venue they chose for their wedding is the beautiful Crooked Creek Club in Alpharetta, Georgia. It is local to me, and I have driven by many times, wanting to take a peek inside. I finally got my wish with this wedding! Nichole is the coordinator of events there, and was so helpful. Luxe Decor and Rentals made the reception tables absolutely stunning, and Kailey Kiser made all the people as beautiful as the venue! The stunning florals are by The Flower Post in Vickery Village, and her dress came from Saks Fifth Avenue! The rings from Solomon Brothers are simply gorgeous! While the guys were stunning in tuxes from Men’s Wearhouse, Mick had his own grey suit that looked amazing on him with a new vest and bowtie to match the bridemaids’ dresses! Wine was the color of the day, but the colorful mums at the ceremony space with white pillars and chairs made a classic outdoor space feel upscale and cozy at the same time. The leaves were in full color throughout the backgrounds, and the sun made all of those leaves pop!

The reception was indoors, with classic white florals, floating candles and pillar glass candle holders on top of live edge bases. Everything was classic and cozy and lots of music and dancing ensued! The cake was simple, from Publix Bakery (who doesn’t love them?) with a custom topper. Scroll down to see the image! Mick and Maureen are so perfect for each other, classy with plenty of fun thrown in, an intense love of family! I was so honored to be a part of this wedding day!
